O/K, here is my proposal:
Philosophical Transmissions: Corporeal Space meets Cyberspace
1. Time
Window of time you would be able to attend between 9pm Saturday, September 3rd and 9pm Sunday, September 4th, 2016
How about 10-11 am PDT, Sunday 4 September ’16.
2. Description
A description in 500 words or less of what you would like to do.
In your message to me you offered that I might eat Burger King’s new Mac ‘n Cheetos with you all. In your call for proposals you further offered that a possible proposal might include, “have Rhiannon cast a spell for you.” I would like to do both.
I remember the day my aunt & uncle moved out of the home they’d raised their 6 kids in. All the peeps my age were crammed into Louie & David’s old bedroom where their bunk beds still sat. At some point David started talking about out of body experiences.
What about having a new media out of body experience where we sit in bed with laptops connected to a virtual world and your avatar casts a spell on virtual Mac ‘n Cheetos?
We could use a projector to cast the virtual world onto one of the gallery walls so that F2F attendees could partake of avatar space, and we could also stream video onto a virtual world wall so that avatars could partake of meatspace. A projector, or a large monitor with Apple TV or Google Chromecast would be great.
3. Patronage
Your committed level of patronage. What could/would you pay for this opportunity, if selected? No one will be excluded for lack of funds, and exceptionally interesting proposals will qualify for a scholarship.
As you might be aware, in the future, the most common unit of funds will likely be the Bitcoin Satoshi. 1 Satoshi = 0.00000001 ฿. While some people do transact in these units today, I find these transactions not quite ubiquitous at the current moment.
For the time being I prefer the monetary unit of the Mac ‘n Cheetos. The current exchange rate is US$2.49 = 1 Mac ‘n Cheetos. I am willing to pledge 10 Mac ‘n Cheetos.
