Poor Lydia from 2:30 wasn’t able to make it to class last week – kidney infection! 🙁 Actually, a few of you have been sick, here’s hoping for quick recoveries for everyone. Meanwhile, Lydia decided to make a zine about all the “fun” she’s having:

Classmate Question OTW
An increasing number of scientists are seriously considering the idea that we are living not in the physical or “real” world, but a gigantic, complex computer simulation. In The Matrix Morpheus offers Neo the chance to learn the truth:
You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Classmate Question:
Which pill would you choose? Why?

I had planned to get back to our timeline and look at the 21st century this week, but since we’re lucky enough to have filmmaker & activist Carla Dauden visiting us on Wednesday this week, let’s discuss her work for our Art Talk OTW this week. Next week we’ll finally dive into the Art of the 21st century.
This Week:
- Instead of separate discussion pages for 1 & 2:30, we’ll all discuss on the same page.
- Instead of discussing on this page, we’ll look at Carla’s work & discuss it on the Visiting Artist Carla Dauden page.
- PLEASE INCLUDE “1P” OR “2:30” WITH YOUR NAME WHEN YOU COMMENT
- You still have till Sunday night to finish your discussion, but PLEASE WATCH SOME OF HER VIDEOS BEFORE CLASS ON WEDNESDAY so you’ll be familiar with her work.
- Please bring a question you’d like to ask Carla to class on Wednesday!
