EC This Weekend

Hey, It’s Jane Jacobs’ birthday tomorrow! Which means that it’s Jane’s Walk this weekend! Who was Jane Jacobs (4 May 1916 – 25 April 2006)? What is Jane’s Walk?

Great Questions!

Maybe this will help, 2 weeks ago a new documentary Citizen Jane was released, here’s the trailer:

OK, so now you’ve heard of Jane Jacobs, but what’s Jane’s Walk and what’s this about EC?

After her death, Jane’s Walk was created to celebrate her life and the neighborhoods she loved. Last year there were Jane’s Walks in over 200 cities around the world. I’ll be leading 2 small walks this weekend:

  1. Saturday morning @Venice Beach
  2. Sunday morning in New Taipei (Rosemead-San Gabriel)

You can join in on either walk (or both). Take a few pix & blog it.

  • Say a bit about Jane Jacobs
  • Say a bit about the Jane’s Walk movement
  • Discuss the Jane’s Walk you participated in
  • EC points based on awesomeness of your post
